A new singer

Natasha ran to the store, running late.
"School starts in EXACTLY 5 minutes. I will never make it! I will be made tardy!" Tash said, running to the store to get a lab coat because she forgot hers last lesson, the lesson before that, before that, before that AND before that.
The teacher had definately threatened..
Again and again and aga- You get the point.
But this time she would show the teacher!
She grabbed her lab coat and stumble onto the till, paying and running out in her black stilletos.
She ran, so eager to go 3 blocks down to schoo that she stumbled into a old classmate she had not seen in 2 years.
"..Sorry!!" Tash said, picking herself up.
"No problem." The boy said.
Tash paused.
"Hi!" She smirked.
"Hey." He said.
"Oliver!" Tasha smiled, waving.
"Look, I'm SO sorry but I gotta go to school!" She said, and ran off.

Oliver looked after Tash, blinking rapidly.
She was so fast.
He smiled and shook his head, arms weighed down by shopping white plastic bags full of groceries his mother had ordered him to get.


He carried on walking, almost struggling to keep upright. This boy was so weak. So unlike his mother.
He flipped his fringe out of his eyes, so it swerved over his right brown eye.
Three girls passed by. Three rather beautiful girls clad on short skirts and vest tops. No wonder. It was boiling in Malibu.
Oliver nodded up twice, rather like a chicken.
"Hey wud' up?"
They turned and stared, then giggled amongst themselves.
Oliver smiled weakly, and suddenly fell forwards, due to the weight on his forearms, and he cursed under his breath, his knees aching. The girls walked on, giggling still.
"Need help with that heavy load, Ollie?"
Oliver looked up, shaking his head.
"Nah. I'm a guy. I can do it."
But Lily helped him anyway. She lifted both of the bags up as if they were lighter than air.



"Pfft. The eggs probably broke."
Oliver murmered, and got up, dusting his black shorts off.
"Come on. Let's go."
They began to move, and Oliver remembered Tash.
"I bumped into Tash today."
"Really?"
"Yeah.. She didn't say much cos' she had to go to her school. She looks... More grown up."
"You fancy her, don't you?"
Oliver shook his head, a smirk coming to his lips as he daydreamed.
"No.... She's just prettier."

Tash sighed, skidding into Science.
"Tash. Your late. IT seems you have earned a ticket to detention." Miss. Alby said, tutting
"Oliver! Lily came in JUST one second late, and got away. Yet You couldn't of ran to science? I understand Tash has higher shoes, yet I still give her a detention! What is your excuse, eh?" Miss. Alby said, staring.
Oliver shrugged and lookedto the ground. Some people snickered.
"Hey! Don't speak to him like that! Don't you DARE laugh!" Tash said.
"Double detention. You AND Oliver. Congrats."
Nobody dared to laugh now.
"Take a seat and hurry up in science."

Science casually hurried up, but the detention was due.
The teacher had exited the class.
Tasha quickly sat next to Oliver.
"Sorry for getting you in trouble!" She said, as she adjusted her silver belt.

Oliver shrugged again.
"Nah, no problem. The worst mum can do is order me to do her washing."
He smiled weakly, and stared at all of the graffiti on the desk. I <3 Jake Ryan. Loliver forever. Here, Oliver stuck his tongue out on disgust and averted his eyes to Tash's face.
"Where have you been?"
He asked her, eyes narrowed.
"You've been busy, haven't you?"

"Very.." Tash said, her eye swivelling the room.
She scribbled out the graffiti that said I <3 Jake Ryan and said "eww Jake.R"
She added:
Tash + Lil = BFFLS.
"Lil?" Oliver said.
"Lillie. Not Lily, Lillie April Hughes." Tash said.
Oliver nodded.
Tash sighed, playing with her silver hollow heart locket.
She quickly scrambled to her seat without the teacher seeing her.
"Right. No paper, so you have no work to do." The teacher said.
"I'll go and doule check. If I hear a sound from ths classroom you get QUAD detention." She said and left.

Tash didn't risk talking so she sighed and decided just to revise Spanish.
"Hola, Como te llamas, beunos dias, I Think thats how you spell it! .. Tengo verde ojos, Y el pelo castano.."
Soon Tash got tired, and secret got out her packed lunch, eat some of her sandwhich and crisps.
She sent Oliver a note.

Want to go to the sweetshop with me after school? My mum got me £2 so we can have a pound each. I love penny sweets!

Tash flicked the note and the teach JUST came in. "Alright. I have nothing for you to do, so you may leave." Miss. Alby said.
Tash was relieved and ran out as quick as a wink.
Double science went passed, and there was literally 40 minutes of lunch time left.
She had finished her packed lunch and decided to go to the field, under the `private` place. Ony Lily, Lillie, Oliver and Tasha knew that place.
Waaaay back from 4 years ago. It is out of bounds but people still go there.
Basically, the field stretched on for ages, and there was a taped off hole. If you jump down the hole there is enough room for 3 people to sit in. There is a abandoned coffee table, quite modern, a abandoned portable TV which only shows 5 channels and 3 seats. Tasha sat on one and put the T.V on really low on a music channel, and watched a really famous Pop Sensation, Isis Black dance about.
She smirked and changed it to Rhianna.
She ate her last two chocolate bars. And heard someone approaching.

Oliver read the note again and again. He couldn't wait. That sweetshop was amazing. But... Err. He couldn't have them. Could he?
Oliver bit at his bottom lip, worrying over this. He didn't want to have her go somewhere else if she wanted to go to the sweetshop. He wouldn't buy anything. he would just tell her he didn't like anything there. yeah... Good plan.
He smiled, and found that his legs were taking him somewhere not of his own accord.
He stumbled across the old hangout with the TV and everything. Only very few people in the friendship group knew about it.
He blinked, and heard the TV was on low.
He turned the corner and saw Tash.
Oliver ran up and jumped over the weak sofa, sitting on it.
"Hey Tash."
He said, smiling at her, and then folding his arms across his chest.
"Didn't expect to see you here."
He saw Isis Black for a few seconds, and shook his head.
"Isis Black. Not my type of music."

Tash looked shocked for a minute but then shook her head.
"Me neither." She sighed.
"Still up for the sweetshop?" Tash smiled.
"Su- Well.. I can't. I don't like sweets." Oliver said.
"Don't you?" Tash said, shocked and looking at him in the eyes, a confused face on her right now.
"Well, you can still come with me" Tash smirked.
She heard another approach.
"Probably Lily." Tash said.
"..Tash?" A masculine voice said, as a figure jumped down.
Jake Ryan.
"Oh my god Jake, GO away."
"Look, Just one question and i'll go." He said.
Tasha folded her arms, impatiently.
"Hurry UP." She said, as she tucked some brown curly hair behind her ears.
"Will you go to the dance with me?"

Oliver got up and stood to the side, frowning.
Great. Jake Ryan of all people had to be here. It was a friendly moment, ruined by the big-headed boy, possessed by fame.
Oliver choked at this question audibly. He stepped forwards.
"I don't think she wants to go with you."
Oliver stated. Jake Ryan looked annoyed.
"And why not, Tom?"
"It's Oliver!" He stressed, and then stepped closer.
"Because she doesn't want to be seen with a balloon."
Oliver jabbed a finger at Jake's shoulder. Jake was momentarily baffled, and then he looked furious.
"WHY YOU!!!"
He roared, and Oliver jumped backwards. That was when Lily arrived, and saw the commotion of Oliver running around the couch with Jake chasing him.
"MY MOM'S A COP!"
He yelled, and Jake growled, edging closer.
Lily sighed, standing beside Tash.
"That's Jake Ryan... Look at his hair........ Aaaahhhhhh."

Lily sighed.
Lexi still hasnt arrived yet.
"Only 3 people allowed in the tunnel! It might come down!"
Nobody had heard her becuase Lily was drooling, Oliver was screaming with Jake aswell and Lily was... STILL drooling. Lexi wasnt here, though.
"NO!" Tash screamed and jumped out the hole, going to english 10 minutes early. She stomped across the field, in leggings and mini shorts. She had a vest top with a thin black cardigan. On the tank top it said "Angel!" And on the back, "Devil >=D"
Tash was definately NOT feeling like a angel or devil right now, but neutral.
She felt annoyed.

Oliver, of course, had not heard what tash had said, and continued to run around in circles.
Lily just stood, there, sighing, lovingly staring at Jake Ryan as he chased after Oliver.
Suddenly. Rico ran in, and halted, his smile stopped, and he raised an eyebrow inquiringly at the group.
"What are you idiots doing now?"
He asked, sighing and shaking his head.
Jackson followed suite, and was shaking his fist.



"You little rat, I'll kill you!"
Rico squeaked and ran off.
"JAKE RYAN!"
Lily suddenly shrieked, and Jake turned, Oliver heading towards the exit. Suddenly... There was a terrible shaking coming from the earthy roof of the tunnel. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up, breath held.
Oliver felt the tremors in the floor.
"QUICK! EVERYONE GET OUT!"
He yelled, and everyone nodded.
Things began flying down from the roof, and Lily screamed, as a large boulder almost crushed her, but Jake saved her. Before Lily could sigh, Jake had whisked her away, a tight hold on her.
Oliver was first to the exit, Jackson pushing him aside, Rico clinging to Jackson like a small child, sobbing. Suddenly there was a loud bang, and Jackson flew backwards, as did Rico and they both fell onto Oliver.
They all screamed, and fell to the floor, covering their heads, as a rock covered the exit.
"TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!"
Oliver yelled, and as soon as he did, there was a deafening crash, and it all went black.
The tunnel caved in, a large hole left in the Earth above. People closest to the tunnel heard it, and thought it was a lorry crash, as the Earth shook around that area.

Oliver gasped for air, blinking around in the dark. He tried to move his arm, but it seemed to be wedged between some rocks, as did all his limbs. They all felt heavy, like his breathing. He didn't dare scream for help, or call for the others. Any movement or sound could mean his life ended. He just had to wait, wait in this terrible-smelling place. He listened for any other breathing. But there was none. He was alone in his own air pocket. How long would it last him for?

As soon as Tash exited the hangout, she heard a crash.
She instantly craned her neck.
"Lorry crash!" Some guy yelled as everyone was running to a fence [it isnt near the cave].
Tash ran too, her scarf blowing in the wind.
She craned her neck as everyone left the hangout.
Jake, JAckson, Lily, Rico... Oliver?
Thats when she twigged it.
She raced to the tunnel, her leggings tight agaisn't her skin.
Her shorts clutched to her as she took out the emergancy tunnel.
The hangout was surronded by medium heightgreen trees, and then there was a small ditch and a out of bounds sign.
Tash dodged all of these, and noticed something moving in the rocks.
She approached it, shovel on her shoulder, two hands clutched to it.
She saw the rocks keep still and she dropped the shovel.
She removed one rock, hand in a protection punch motion incase something sprang out.
Carefully, she removed rock by rock untill she noticed skin and eyes and hair.
"Oliver!" Tash said worridley.
The last rock was a boulder.
Oliver kept still.
"Oliver.. You alive?" Tash said, worried.
Oliver remain still.
Tash got really frightened, and removed the large rock, stumbling to the ground as the rock luckily dodged her face and landed on a tiny patch of her hair.

Oliver slowly opened his eyes as she removed the rather large boulder that had trapped his arm. He began to breathe in the fresh, clean, air, heavily, never pausing,chest rising and falling rapidly. He blinked rapidly, eyes narrowing, pupils getting smaller as they grew accustomed to the bright rays of the sun. He felt as if his limbs were made of lead, and he could not move them. Dirt crumbed his hair, and smudged his face.
"Luh...Lily?"
He weakly moaned, almost blacking out.

Tash sat up cross legged.
"Actually, Tash." Tash smirked.
"Lily got saved by err.. Jake." She said.
She brushed out the dust and dirt in her hair and stood up.
"I'm going to English." Tash said.
She duster herself down, breathing heavily from all the drama and excitement.
She soon approached the big white english door. She pushed it open to instantly see a crowd of girls surronded Jake.
"Ladies, Ladies! One at a time!" Jake said, smirking and fondling some girls.
Tash felt sick.
"Tash.." He said, trying to push through the stampede of girls.
"Look, i'm.." He started.
Miss. Taylor entered the room.
"Settle in. Sit down. Get ready." She said just as Oliver walked through.
"Your late. Hurry up! Sit down." Miss taylor said, waving her arms to a spare seat next to Lexi.
Jake took the oppurtunity to sit next to Tash.
Tash sighed, pushed her chair as far as she could away from him, and turned and faced the wall.
"partner work. You have to act alittle, then write in your draft book. Imagine... Imagine Shakespeare was.. Taken over by... U.FO-- No! ZOMBIES!" Miss. Taylor yelled as Jake proudly stuck out his chest and kept his head up.
"Zombie High -- A big bigfoots heart." He said and posed at Tash.
Tash kept her head down.
"pleasehelpmepleasehelpmepleasehelpme!" Tash mouthed to Lexi.
Lexi nodded, then glanced at Miss. Taylor.
"Sorry! Can't." Lexi whispered.
"Can we rehearse.. Outside?" Jake said as he tried to lift up Tash.
"I can walk" Tash said, pushing him away as she stomped outside.

Oliver kept his head on the desk, groaning.
"Oliver, are you feeling alright?"
Lily peered at Oliver, and shrugged, poking him in the arm. They were to be together in this section of work. The response Oliver gave was a weak smile.
"Yes, Miss."
He said in his cheeriest voice. Oliver remained smiling until the teacher lost interest, and turned away to another partnered pair.
Lily put a hand on Oliver's arm.
"Wake up, we have to save Tash from Jake.... Lovely..Hott...Jaaaake."
She sighed, and he moaned.
"Can't it wait?"
He asked through clenched teeth lIly looked horrified.
"Nu-uh! Now come on!"
She stood up and walked to be behind Oliver's chair.
She then put her arms around his waist and pulled him up. Oliver reluctantly got up, and then she dragged him out, while he lolled about. They caught up with Jake and Tash. Jake was doing the famous line 'I slayed you once, don't make me slay you again' Lily sighed. "
Isn't he dreamy?"
Oliver shook his head.
"Makes me wanna barf."
"It's just the dirt."
Lily practically skipped over, and beamed.
"Hey Jakie!"
Oliver followed, not feeling too good.
"Tash."
He acknowledged.

Tash didn't hear, but sighed.
She hated Jake so much.
"Why did we pair up? You HAD to sit next to me, right?" Tash said through gritted teeth and fists clenched.
Jake nodded.
Tash was infuriated.
"I'll give you a zombie to slay!" Tash said, but Jake just took her hips and leant her back, as if they were doing a tango.
"Don't worry! I'll save you Tash!" He said, stumbling dramatically. Alittle too enthusiastic and he fell onto of Tash.
"Get OFF me!" She yelled.
"Sorry!" He said in a apologectic tone.
Tash kicked him hard where it hurts the most.
The reaction was the JAke sprang up and fell backwards.
Miss. Taylor came rushing to the scene.
"What on EARTH happened?"
"Well, uh. Jake was hit by a zombie and is dramatically dying." Tash explained.
Jake just groaned. Tash smiled sweetly the the teacher.
"Ok! Well done, you two!"

Oliver laughed loudly as he saw Jake get kicked. Lily punched him on the arm, and he 'owed'.
"Hey!"
He rubbed at his arm angrily, glaring at Lily.
Lily watched the commotion and sighed.
"He does a good impression of a slayer dying."
Oliver shook his head.
"Was your brain absent??"
Lily ignored this comment, which was rare, and went over to Jake.
"Jakie. Are you alright? I'll be the zombie princess."
Jake smiled weakly.
"No.. It's alright."
Oliver went over to Tash. He did not give up.
The teacher had left to see more partnered pairs.
Oliver flicked his hair in a gesture of attracting girls.
"Want to go to Sloppy Joe's later?"
He then hesitated.
"Not that it'd be a date or anything."
He rushed.

Tash sighed.
"I'm really sorry.. I have to make stupid Pancakes. It's Pancake Tuesday. Mmm. lucky me." She paused.
"But.. You and Lily and Lexi can come if you want!" Tash smiled.
"Am I invited?" Jake smirked, pulling his fingers through his hair.
"NO!" Tash and Oliver both said.
"YES!" Lily said.
"I'll be there!" Jake smirked and ran off without a refusal.
They both hit Lily on the shoulder.
"Ow!" She cried.
"We'll lock the doors on him." Tash suggested.
"Ok, Ok! Hurry in you guys! Your first." Miss. Taylor smiled.
Tash groaned.

"I'll Save you, Jamilliazia!" Jake said, kneeling on one knee. He instantly pulled Tash forcefully over so she was leaning agaisnt him.
"No, it's really ok." Tash said and got up.
Jake pulled back down.
"No.. You need saving!"
Tash got up
"I'm FINE."
"You need.. SAVING." Jake said through clenched teeth.
Tash pushed him over hard in the chest and stuck out her bust and held up her chin.
"The Hero Is DEAD!" She said and smiled cheerfully, her bust still out.
She smirked.
"Very good but, The Hero was supposed to SAVE You, Tash!" Miss. Taylor sighed.
"Our version was different." Tash muttered, sitting down.

Oliver looked truly disappointed.
"Oh... Okay.."
He said in a dull tone, following the others in.
He watched the performance, grinning. Lily watched in awe, at Jake. She clearly thought a lot of him.
Then it came to Lily and Oliver's turn. They had not rehearsed at all, so this was all improvised.
Lily stepped forwards dramatically.
"I'll save you!"
She yelled in a heroic voice, and turned back to oliver. Oliver was frowning, blinking. What was he to play?
He only found out when she put her thumbs into his underwear and yanked it up. Hmm. Black and blue stripes.
Oliver grunted with pain, doubling over.
Everyone laughed. Oliver was now in a worse condition.
Lily smiled and bowed, letting go of Oliver.
"Thank you. Thank you."
The teacher frowned.
"I am guessing that was a modernized version."
She scribbled down the grade while Oliver hobbled off, glaring at Lily.

Lily giggled.
Soon, english was over.
"Dismissed." she said.
Tash grabbed Lexi Lily and Oliver and went on her S-L-O-W Moped.
Lexi and Tash shared a moped while Oliver and Lily shared.
Tash kicked the Engine and the moped sped up abit.
"Gotta get there before Jake!" Tash called, and sped up to 30MPH.
Tash arrived to her patio, thrusting the moped and helmet on the ground.
She unlocked the keys and they all bustled through the front door.
They all huddled in Tash's room.
"Pancake making isn't untill 1.5 hours so we can hide. JUST incase Jake gets to us.." Tash said, looking at her wardrobe and wig stand [Not the IB wardrobe LOL]
Tash put on some major eyeshadow, mascara, a wig and a new outfit.



Tash smirked.

Lily put on a sweedish outfit and Lexi, the only other option was a jamacain dude.
"What will Oliver be?" Tash said hurridley.
There was a doorbell ring.
"Taaaaaash?" Jake called

Oliver looked panicked. He certainly didn't want to have his hair messed. The hair that the ladies loved and wanted to groom. Oliver rummaged about, and found some old clothes. It was something Tash's father probably wore in childhood.

Baggy on Oliver, put perfect. He walked in, smirking, cap upside down.

He said, doing the usual rap artist stance and movements.
Oliver then pulled down the glasses and smiled.
"It's me, Oliver."
He whispered. Lily rolled her eyes.
"Oh bai jimminy."
Oliver heard Jake's call, and decided to answer the door, while Tash and Lily held back.
Oliver went up to the door, swaggering, and opened it.
He smirked, leaning against the frame, arms folded, with fingers in the rock thing.
"Yo freaky slayer. It's all freakki freakki fresh?"

Jake took a step back and waved his arm in a circle.
"He-llo!" He said.
"I- be looking for TASH?" He said.
"I speak english." Oliver said.
"Oh, Good! Where's Tash?" Jake asked.
"T-a-s-hhhhhhaaaassssshhh?????"
"Yes."
"Not here."
"But im invited."
"Nope."
"This is her house."
"Shes gone to the mall at a spa."
"Ok." Jake sighed he turned back.
Tash quickly took a glance, threw off her wig, put on the outfit [in avatar]
And put the sunglasses over her eyes.
"Phew!" Tash said, sitting on a sofa.
She turned the T.V On.
"Hey, Oliver. I do have time for a sloppy Joes. My dad would cancel pancake day today, besides its JACKSONS turn." Tash smirked.
"Nonononononoonnoono!" Jackson said, suddenly running down stairs.
"Yesyesyesyesyesyesye!" Tash said.
"Why?"
"ITs YOUR turn!"
"I have work"
"I have friends"
"I have a life"
"SO do I! A DOUBLE ONE." Tash said.
She suddenly pivotted round very slowly to Oliver he obviously wasn't concentrating. Neither was Lily and Lexi probably didn't know what the heck Tash was going on about anyway.
"Fine." Jackson said.
Tash got $30 from the counter and left.

Oliver and Jackson touched elbows and then did the usual Rugby hit full on in the ribs.
"Yo Jackson. How's it hangin'?"
"Same old... Same old. That outfit is stupid, by the way."
Oliver tipped down the glasses, so his brown eyes were seen.
"Jelous much?"
Jackson laughed aloud.
"Did you see Rico when the tunnel collapsed, wetting his pants!!"
Oliver and Jackson shared a loud laugh, and high-fived each other before Jackson ran off to Rico's.
"Can I keep the outfit on when we go to Sloppy Joe's? I think the girl's will be checking me out."
Tash looked doubtful, but agreed slowly. It would more than likely embarass them, unless Tracy came along.

"Ok.. Need to go to the toilet!" Tash said and ran upstairs.
She got out her Isis phone and dialled Tracy.
"Helllllllooooooohh Issssssssssissssssssssss, Howwssss it goinggg?"
"Not bad, thanks. You?"
"Fabuloussssssssss"
"Good."
"I'm going to sloppy joes, meet there so we can plan the concert!"
Tash hung up.
She froze.
Wait! I'm goingwith Oliver to sloppy joes.

Tash got her disguise and flew past Oliver
"Sorryicantgo!" Tash said and ran to sloppy Joes.

Oliver frowned.
"But wait! Ta--"
She had left. Oliver and Lily stood there, Oliver looking quite puzzled. Lily stood beside him and smiled grimly.
"She said she can't go."
Oliver blew upwards through his fringe irritably.
"I know that!" He hissed, and pushed the glasses up over his eyes before disappointment showed.
Lily knew Oliver was quite upset at this new peice of news that had been brought upon him not so suttly, so she decided to treat him to a meal at Pizza Hut.
"Wanna come to Pizza Hut? We can get the kiddie drawing menu!"
Oliver looked hopeful.
"Yeah!!"
Lily and Oliver linked arms and walked out of Tash's house, not caring that they were still in their idiotic disguises.

Tash ran like the wind.
She ran to the toilets and got changed ito Isis.
A silver scarf, a white top with a picture of her in pixellated dots, a silver metallic cardi, Then she wore leggings with a short silver skirt and belt. Then she wore the same black sillettos as Tash did.
Isis put on her very short dark wig, chunky sunglasses and a metallic gold headband.
Isis walked out.
As soo as she did, she instantly heard cameras flashing and screaming fans.
Then she saw some other cameras turn a different direction.
"Tracy! Tracy!" Some paparazzi yelled.
"Isis!" Tracy yelled.
"Tracy!"
Isis yelled.
They walked over to eachother and done a air kiss and sat at a table together.
"So, let's plan your concert.." Tracy smiled.
"If you give me a front row 5 seats of Isis Black, I shall give you two front row seats to the already sold out Kings of leonnnn" Tracy smiled.
"'Course! I LOVE KOL" Isis smiled.
"Great, Chiao" She said.
"Going so soon?" Isis said.
"Yessssss, Party with Jessica Ssssssimp." She said.
"Coming?"

Tash sat on the sofa, lazily flopping down.
"Hey, Bud." Robbie said.
"You know there is this thing called PGL?" Robbie said.
"..." Tash replied.
"Sports. Search the website. You stay in a cabin, etc. It's £300 to go, i'l sign you up. Lily and Lexi are coming, too." Robbie said.
Tash shrugged.

* * * The NextDay * ** **

Tash walked to school.
She saw alot of spanish walk by.
"..Spanish exchange?" She said.
They nodded.
"Year.. 11?"
"No, no. Year.. twenty." He said.
One of his friends laughed and said something in spanish.
