Book 1, a Normal Village Called Stokely (Or not..)

Vlad gave a look of confusion and disgust. "No! Why would I bite you?" He scrunched up his eyebrows and crossed his arms.

Robin rolled his eyes.
He stood normally, quite tall against Vlad, ticking off the clues on his fingers, looking like it was obvious, eyebrows raised.
"Come on.. Talking wolf, blood thristy dad.. Beautiful sister."
He folded his arms, smirking.
"I think we have a vampire here."

Vlad's eyes widened, "Uh . . ." he didn't know what to do. He pursed his lips together.

Robin rolled his eyes.
"Come ON.... If you feel the need to come round' my house, seeming as we're buds now... It's between the two orange houses. We're the yellow house. What IS your name?!"
He asked Vlad, not really taking no for an answer.

Vlad froze for a few seconds, "Vlad . . ." He mumbled. He blinked.

Robin grinned from ear to ear almost.
"Cool."
He held his own hand out for Vlad to shake.
"Don't worry.. Your secret's safe with me."
He winked, then laughed.
Robin then stared in the mirror, eyes narrowed, smile fading.
"For my first vampire.. You're not very.. Vampiric.."

Vlad nodded slowly, "Uh, kay."

He looked at Robin, eyes narrowing. "Hey! Some breather, you are."
He sighed "Eh, you haven't fully met Ingrid or Count yet."

Robin blinked, but laughed breathily.
Suddenly, there were thumping footsteps.
Robin looked at Vlad in a worried way and hid under the bed just as the door opened.
"GIVE ME YOUR ROOM WORMBREATH!"
Ingrid shrieked.
She had her hands on her hips, angrily glaring at him, then she started sniffing, just as the count did, sniffing around the bed.

Vlad raised an eyebrow. "No Ingrid. Out." He paused for a second, then began to laugh, trying to get Ingrid's attention.
"Ingrid. Y-You." He busted out laughing harder and pointed at her, falling to his knees and laying on the ground, holding his gut.

Ingrid suddenly yanked Robin from the hiding place, holding him by the neck of his cape.
"Nice pile of clothes..Breather clothes."
She sarcastically said, then went mental.
"DO you know what dad'll do to us if he finds we've been speaking to this bloodbag."
Robin was staring at her out of the corner of his eyes.
"Or if he knew we were--"
"Vampires?"
Robin cut off.
"Yeah.. What?!"

Vlad sprung to his feet. "He came through my window, we're friends now I guess . . . He heard dad and you talking and he found out . . ." He trailed off.
"Don't tell dad, Ingrid. Please?"

"I'll show you promises."
Ingrid hissed, and she suddenly drew Robin close to her.
Robin had a dreamy look in his eyes.
"Swear, on all that is morbidly evil you won't tell anyone."
Robin grinned.
"Your pretty."
He repeated.
"SWEAR!"
She hissed.
"Ok.. I swear."
Robin said.
She let go of him.
"Make sure he does. Or I will make sure he swears."

Vlad nodded. "Kay. Now. Out." He smiled cheesily.

Ingrid eyed Vlad, before leaving the room, sulking slightly.
Robin seemed to breath with a slight relief.
"I thought she was going to bite me.. That would've been cool.. But still.."

Vlad smirked, then turned his head to Robin. "What kind of human are you? You are supposed to be afraid of us!" He gave Robin a strange look.

Robin blinked, rather hurt, but then changed the saddened look into a smile.
"That's just me. I love vampires.. I dunno... I guess people always say I'm not normal."
He bit at his black-painted nails, eyeing Vlad.
"Since when were you able to have a reflection."
He added, pointing to the mirror with his free hand.
"I thought ALL vampires had reflections."

Vlad raised an eyebrow, "We don't usually turn until full vampires until our 16th birthday." He mumbled looking at his reflection, then looked at Robin, "Why does it matter?"

Robin shrugged.
"Cause' I want you to be the best vampire ever."
He cleared his throat in an embarrassed way.
"I'll put that in my head for future reference.. I guess I don't really know much about vampires."
He said in a disapointed voice, but perked up consideirng he had met a living, breathing, vampire!
