Book 4, Illumination

Newt smiled in a kind way.Newt rolled his eyes at that name, sitting next to her. He forgot all about Charlie.
"Why did you even come to help me?"
He asked.
"I would've checked myself into a mental asylum if I had seen what you saw."
He joked.

"I sensed you were going to die, it turned out as a faint. I guess I should be leaving now, anyway." Aly smiled, taking her bag. She was about to place her foot on a step of the stairs.

newt walked out, almost tripping over Charlie.
Charlie had dozed off, sleeping in a crouched position.
Newt chuckled soflty, but grabbed hold of Aly's arm softly.
"NO... Uhh.....Well... Wanna catch up? I wanna know more about you.. Like... Dinner at a resteraunt?"
He asked, grinning.

Aly thought.
"Well, I haven't really got anything important on today. Pick me up at 7?" Aly asked.
"Sure thing." Newt smiled.
"See you then." Aly smiled, hugging Newt. Before anything else could happen, she flew out the door.
Aly sat on her bed, in her pink bedroom.
"What to wear.." Aly thought to herself. She opened her wardrobe, and scimmed through it.
"Aha!" She smiled, picking out a cute outfit.
She put on a red top layer, then a stripy top. She put on some jeans, and a large silver belt. She smiled to herself, as she put on her large red boots, and put on her favourite green earings.




She walked to her vanity closet, and sat down. She started with eyes, and eyeliner. She put on two coatings, the looked in the mirror.

She put on some light shades of silver near her eyelid, completley neatly.



She coated her lips with a ruby red coating, Like Madonna would.



She put on alittle amount of blush, a faint red colour. Aly would then put on fake girly nails, but she would coat them with black.

She would put in her mouth, a slice of pink bubblegum, and she would walk down her cream stairs, that had the leftover dust or two. Alyson sat on the chair, and waited for Newt. She looked at her wrist.


"6:53" She muttered to herself.

Meanwhile, Newt was having trouble at what to pick.
he sighed, unusually puzzled.
He had gone home, explaining to Nikki and Charlie he needed to catch up on things and have a good rest.
Newt couldn't believe how fast this relationship with this girl was going!
here he was, fretting about what to wear!
Finally he settled for a blue shirt, blue jeans and black converse with a gold watch, passed down from his grandpa and a sweatband.



newt fixed a chain to his jeans and he sprayed Boss deoderant over himself.
He shook his blonde hair and walked out the house.
Newt couldn't drive, he was sadly too young. And it was times liket hese he really wished he could!
Newt looked at the address she had given him.
He had reached the house.
Newt fixed a smile on his face, slowly notiving the craving he had for Substance F. He tried to ignore it, smiling.
newt cleared his throat, gathering the courage and finally knocking on the door with his soft knuckles.

Aly smiled, suddenly jumping up on her feet.
"Bye Mum!" She smiled.
"Bye honey, have fun." Her mum yelled from upstairs.
She opened the door, smiling at Newt.

Newt smiled back, eyes slightly smiling too.
"Hey.... Let's go. I don't drive.....So...Uhh... we have to walk. Sorry."
He started walking, shuffling slightly.
He sighed and breathed in the cool, night air. It wasn't full of fuel fumes. It was the same old normal air.
He scanned the darkness for Aly, finally finding her with his blue eyes.
"You were born with the power?"
He whisper-asked, almost afraid of people over-hearing.
"I was born with this:"
He said, stopping.
Newt shook his hand and a abouquet of fresh, wild, flowers apeared, he handed them to her.
"It's a gesture of friendhsip. Roses are for love!"
He chuckled.

Nikki sighed and looked upstairs, watching Newt and Aly leave the house. She gave a blank expression and blinked once, then walked up the stairs, seeing Charlie laying asleep on the floor.
She gentally picked him up and carried him to his bedroom, putting him under the covers and shutting the door, continuing cleaning up the sick off the carpet with rubber gloves on.
Charlie's parents didn't seem to come home yet, and it was getting close to 6, so as she finished up cleaning the sick off the floor and putting the supplies away, she decided to start cooking dinner for him.
She would gentally and quietly handle the items, unsure on how deep of a sleeper Charlie was.
She had decided to make fettucini alfredo with a choice of chicken or shrimp on the side, deciding to also cut out a few pieces of french bread to go with it. Hopefully by the time she was finished, Charlie would have awakened.

Aly smiled. She took the Roses, and hugged Newt.
"Aww, your so sweet! How cute!" ALy smiled. Aly hugged Newt. She kissed him on the cheek.

Newt blinked, rubbing at his cheek.
Newt smiled.
"That's basic. I didn't hide it up my sleeve or anything... I don't know why but it feels like I've known you for a long time.... I guess if you save someone from a near-death experiance you get to know them better. Look... About that. I am forever in your debt.. Anything you need I'll give it to you. It's only a repayment."
He carried on walking, hands shoved in pockets.

Meanwhile.

Charlie slowly opened his eyes, realising he was in his soft bed.
His first thought was about Newt. Yet... He felt angry at Newt, so he soon erased him from his thoughts.
then he thought about Nikki. Had she gone home?
He got out of his bed, blinking. He realised the supplied were back. He grinned.
But a new smell came to him. A smell of cooking.
His parents were out.. And his little sister so it must be Nikki... Yet... He didn't feel hungry. He felt rather sick.
Not because he was ill... But because he was angry at Newt.

Aly smiled. She looked ahead, in the darkness and saw a figure. He was tall and lanky, and had dark brown hair.


.... Zeek



Alyson stared at Zeek, for a long time. The figure was coming closer! Alyson felt nervous for the second time. (First time is when she Mouth-to-mouthed Newt). Zeek was coming nearer and nearer, Aly could feel her heart beating.

Newt looked straight through the darkness. He saw Zeke.
Newt was tense too. But not for the same reason. (LOL)
Newt looked down at Aly.
"Uhhh.. You ok?"
He asked, desprately trying to divert his attention away from Zeke.
But Zeke had to stop the two of them.
"Got a girlfriend? Newty?"
Newt backed away, remembering the time he went phsyco nuts on him and Charlie and Nikki.
"No..."
He slowly said, looking at Aly.
Zeke shrugged.
"Doesn't look like nothing to me. When Chalrie sees this you're busted!"
Newt rolled his eyes, only slightly scared of Zeke's dark appearence. Especially in the nighttime when anything could happen.
"This is Zeke.... Old... School...Friend."
He shivered at the word 'friend' as he said it to Aly, looking at her.
Zeke walked to Newt, putting his two hands on Newt's shoulders. Newt's shoulders flinched, but he didn't dare remove the hands.
"Newt.... I got something to ask you...... Did you... or did you not? Shave 'crybaby' into my hair?"
He spoke in a slow voice, Newt felt the tightening grip on his shoulders.
Newt swallowed and shook his head.
"NO....Absolutely NO way!"
He quickly said, ending it with nervous laughter.
Zeke looked at Aly and advanced over to her, standing tall above her. (Believe me.. He's tall)
"You look like a pretty thing. What'cha doing with a guy like him? Wanna hang out?"
He asked in his silky smooth, creamy..Soft...Delicate socialising voice.

Aly smiled, but shrugged. She suddenly got confident.
"Maybe later." She questioned, rubbing her smooth face and gently poking her hard coated Mascara.
She blinked, her greenish eyes blinking. She was tense, and a tad scared. She had to end the conversation. She had a feeling something bad would happen. She attempted to send thought to Newt.

Newt! Can you hear me? Shall we go? Aly tried to contact, her eyes wincing. Her eyes came back to normal, her belt was shimmering.

"See you, Zeke. Maybe in around 4 days we can hang out?" Aly smiled. "Catcha later, cute thing" Zeke grinned, walking off into the darkness. Alyson could feel herself blushing.

Newt had completely blocked his mind in protection. Sort of like a firewall. The thought would have no chance of getting through.
He folded his arms across his chest, almost in a defence way.
But he sighed out of relief when Zeke walked away.
He kept his arms folded, looking around, almost as if he thought Zeke would suddenly jump out and kill him.
He looked at Aly and managed a rather tight smile, the street-lights making him see her blushing.
His smile slowly faded into a frown.
His knuckles cracked slightly as he clenched his fists.
He suddenly stopped walking and laughed in a soft way, almost in a nervous way, he turned to Aly.
"I think I'm coming down with something.. I'm gonna go home."
He lied.

Aly shrugged.
"I'll guess i'll see Zeke then, make plans for tonight." Aly beamed. "I'll see you later, Newt. Aly hugged Newt, and began to pace over to Zeke, pulling her red and stripy shirt down, and adjusting her belt.

Newt's bottom lip trembled as if he were about to cry.
But his eyes narrowed, hands firmly down his side.
He watched her leave, fists clenched.
"I'll kill him."
He muttered to himself darkly.
Newt walked off in the opposite direction, not to his house, to no where in particular.

Meanwhile.

"Oh.. Hey Aly."
His face softened into a smile, silky voice back on.
Zeke had been thinking.. thinking about questioning Nikki again.
He smiled at Aly, sitting down on a bench.
"What is it you are here for? I thought you were with Newty?"
He smiled.

"Yeah, I thought I was with him too. He had an "illness"" Aly looked up at Zeke.
"Do you think I should call him?" Aly asked, already flipping out her phone, which shone a bright pink in the moonlight.

"Hey! Newt, are you alright?" Aly asked in, her cute, sweet voice

Newt heard Aly's voice and sighed.
"Fine..."
He said in a dull voice into his mobile phone.
Newt voice would be detected with a hint of jelousy in it, as he stood at the side of a main road.
Newt looked around in the darkness, hand in pocket, hand on phone.

Meanwhile.

"Look..... He'll be fine.... Now let's not let Newt spoil this moment."
He smirked in a cool way, his eyes full of hate.
He would totally strangle Newt when he got back. All Aly seemed to care about was Newt. And it annoyed him.
He stood around, hands in pockets.

Alyson stood still, and froze. Newt was about to cross a road. A large lorry truck was coming, the horns of the truck echoed hard, and there was a crash.

Aly gasped.
"I have to save Newt!" Aly yelled, running off. She came closer to Newt, and sped up when she saw the large lorry-truck. The lights shone in her eyes, but she didn't care. She dived infront of Newt, pushing him away. Aly was stuck in the middle of the road, a lorry coming towards her.

Newt gasped as he was pushed from the road, phone smashing into tiny peices.
He fell, scratches already on his face.
He saw Aly, screaming so he got up quickly, diving for her.
In a rough, violent way he pushed her to the floor, lying on her, holding her to him.
He hoped that they were in the middle where no wheels were in the truck.
His eyes widened as it passed over them.
They were still alive, just scratched.
His heart beat fast. He swallowed hard, still pressing her to the ground.
The truck seemed to drive on.
He held onto her, though there was no danger.
His jeans were cut open, knees bleeding with gravel stuck in them.
He wasn't badly hurt.
Newt was extremely pale, only just realising the luck.
He still stayed down, not saying anything, not able to.
Until Zeke came, angry.
"NEWTON! I'LL KILL YOU!"
He yelled.
Was Newt having bad luck or what??

While the truck began to roll away, before anyone got up, or anything else happened, ALy stared at Newt, still pinned to the dark gravel of the floor.
"Thanks for saving me, Newt." Aly smiled. She kissed Newt on the lips, for a long period of time.

Newt replied only by kissing her as passionately as she did back.
He didn't care about zeke.
But some flowers by accident slid down Newt's sleeve, as well as a rabbit down the other.
He quickly got up before another lorry or car could come, taking her hand.
He smirked.
"Thanks for saving me a second time.. I must have a deathwish."
He was panting as if he had run a marathon. It was shock.
Suddenly Zeke yanked Newt back, causing him to fall to the floor.
"GET OFF ME ZEKE!"
He yelled, but Zeke's grip was strong.
"Aly... I thought you loved me. This is all your fault! I LOVE YOU ALY! BUT THIS MOTHERFUCKER INTERRUPTS!" (Sorry.. Language xD)
Newt felt Zeke's hand press his head to the road. His eyes widened.
"Now I'll kill him.. For you Aly.. MY LOVE!"
He yelled.
Newt panicked, unable to move with shock.
He saw the headlights head for him.
Newt whimpered and tears poured down each cheek, seeing the headlights shine in his eyes.
Zeke had lost it.
"I LOVE YOU ALY!"
He yelled, holding Newt down with force, Newt's head in the road.

Aly screamed, quickly taking Newts hand, and running to her house, Zeke running after her, not quite far behind.
(Now, my next scene is quite what a classic happens).
Aly tripped. Zeke was close behind her, now walking slowly. Aly struggeled to get up, Zeke right behind her.

Newt was taken just before a bus ran over the place where his head would be.
He gasped and tears fell down on each cheek. He cried like a child.
newt's heart beat so fast it hurt when Zeke chased them, his hand tightly in Aly's.
But when Aly fell he looked forward, then at Aly.
Zeke was already trying to pick her up.
Newt ran at him, fury shown on his face.
"Get away you dumb little boy."
Zeke said, smiling.
"I'll whipe that smile off your face."
Newt said in a dark way. A rather scarily dark way, punching him in the centre of his face.
Zeke rocked backwards like a giant, and finally fell.
"Aly.. you ok?"
He quickly asked, breathless, panting, shirt damp with tears and sweat combined.
He took her hand in his pale, clammy, cold, sweaty hand and pulled her along to his house, changing direction from hers to his.
"Mine'll be safer.. Trust me."
He quickly said, wind whipping his voice away.
He saw Zeke get back up and swear, running after them, shouting all sorta of abuse at Newt and Aly.

Aly continued to run, Zeke was behind her and Newt. As soon as Zeke turned his head to look back, Aly dragged Newt into a dark corner. She hid there, untill Zeke had gone. Her heart was panting so fast, she was sure that Newt could hear it. She clung onto Newt like alittle baby.
