Book 4, Illumination

Newt clung to her more like a scared kid watching a scary movie.
He rocked slightly, sliding down the wall with her, hair sticky.
He looked a sight, eyes widened, trembling.
He could barely breath.
The alley-way stunk of bins... A rotten stench.
He let her lie her head on his chest, stroking her hair.
"We wait..."
He quietly whispered, trying to manage a shaky smile so she wouldn't be scared.
Newt was sure she would be able to hear his heart beat as it pounded loudly in his ears.
He was trying to calm himself. He gulped.
He said nothing else, just holding her close to him, letting her lie her head on his chest while he stroked her hair.

Aly continued to cling to Newt, smelling his addicting aftershave. Aly heard Zeke stopped. Her heart started pounding. Zeke trod back, he looked through the Alley way where Newt and Alyson were.
"He has found us!" Aly whispered to Newt. Newt clutched Aly.
Zeke began to trod back, in the distance. Newt heard him mutter, "I'll be back, Newt."
Before Newt or Aly made another move, "Whose house shall we go to? My parents are out." Aly suggested.

Newt's eyes widened even more, he almost went fridgid with fear as Zeke's words echoed around his head.
"..........Mine."
He said in barely a whisper. He bit at his bottom lip, getting her off him so he could stand.
Zeke had gone... Home for sleep more than likely.
Newt checked though, pushing her against a wall.
"Wait."
He whispered, sticking his head out of the alley way.
Zeke was gone...
He took her hand in his.
"It's not far from here."
He whispered still.
He qquickly darted for it,running faster than an osterich.

Aly was shaking. She took Newt's warm hand, her's catching up with sweat. She trod amoungst the cracks in the pavement, and along to NEwt's house. She wiped her feet briskly, then entered.

Newt opened the door to the mansion, sighing.
"My parents aren't home either.."
He said in a worried voice.
But Amy, in her pink tutu and fairy wings skipped down the red-carpeted stairs.
She held a fairy wand.
"Newt.. Where have you been? Mum and dad were worried but they had to leave for work."
She said ina stubborn voice, frowning.
She had Newt's eyes and blonde hair tied into pigtails with two pink bobbles.
She took a big sniff and put a hand on her nose.
"Ewwww.... You smell GROSS!"
She screeched, backing away.
"And who's this?"
She rudely asked, hand still pn nose.
Newt rolled his eyes, panic slowly fading.
"This is Amy.... My sister from hell. Oh.. Amy.. This is Aly.. A friend."
Newt whispered in her ear.
"Entertain Amy while I have a shower."
He smirked and ran up the stairs, disapearing.

NEwt stripped himself of his dirty clothes and his underwear and he turned the shower on, stepping in to the cool water.
His hair got wet and he washed himself and his hair thouroughly. He stayed in the shower, still naked... Just thinking..

"So, Amy. Newt's your brother, huh?" ALy smiled.
"Not that you care." Amy said, skipping up the stairs and slamming her door.

Alyson flicked open her phone.

Hi, Aly. I love you. I know where you are. I'm coming.

Alyson almost screamed. What Zeke scaring her, or was he coming? After Newt came out of the shower, all the bits that hurt, Alyson put anti-septic onto the parts. She sighed, as she lifted up her phone and showed it to Newt.

Newt flinched as the pain stung his knees. But eh tried his best to be tough.
When he saw the text.. His heart almost stopped.
He looked out the window.
"He should be here soon."
Newt grabbed her hand.
"My bedroom now..."
He quickly said, pulling her up to his big room, he closed the door shut.
It was relateviely clean. Newt sat on the edge of his bed, panting, eyes widened.
And sure enough. A loud knocking was heard on his door.
Aly clung to Newt, breathing in his aftershave smell AGAIN. But even stronger. ( )
Newt held her tightly.
He didn't need to worry about Amy.. Amy would never answer the door.

Alyson's lips trembled. She immediatly started crying.
"My life is terrible! It's mixed up, ugh..!" Aly said.
"Why does it have to be like this?" she cried. "It's just... too difficult!"

Newt shook his head, chest feeling like it was tight so he could barely breath.
Suddenly the knocking turned to violent banging.
He heard Amy scream and begin to cry.
She pushed open Newt's door and cried, choking on her tears.
"Don't worry..... I'll go downstairs and call the police."
he looked at Aly and kissed her on her head.
"It's not your fault...... It's all mine. If I hadn'tve been stupid and not looked out in the road none of this would happen."
He let Amy whipe her snotty nose on his shirt.
He calmed and comforted her.
"I wanna come with you."
She firmly said.
No amount of refusing could stop her.
So Newt told Aly he'd be right back.
He took Amy by the hand, her warm hand in his.
He slowly crept out, the banging still going on.
He ran down the stairs, Amy whimpering.
The door was splintering, he saw Zeke's angry face. Zeke's eyes look into Newt's. Newt froze to the spot.
Suddenly, the door fell down with a bang, Amy screamed.
Newt tried to get away but Amy's hand slipped from his.
Zeke swiped Amy up in his arms.
Newt yelled, his voice breaking.
"AMY!"
Amy screamed, portesting, kicking.
Newt bared his teeth.
"GET OFF HER!"
"Where's Alyson?!!"
Zeke yelled back, arms around Amy.
Newt suddenly ran at him and slapped him around the face.
Zeke let go of Amy in shock and Amy ran back inside, stopping at the stairs.
Zeke almost roared and he took newt by surprise, wrapping an arm around Newt's chest.
He pulled out a penknife quickly, Newt struggled.
"Don't move.. Tell me where Aly is or you'll die a slow... Painful.. Death."
Amy screamed and ran upstairs to Aly to warn her.
Newt felt the penknife go to his throat. He didn't even dare breath, squeezing his eyes shut, head up high, teeth bared.
He didn't struggle he stayed still.
"Why would I tell?"
He said in a mocking voice.
Zeke held the penknife closer.
"Because I can break you down."
Newt swallowed hard, by accident cutting himself. (Curse you adam's apple! XD)
His heart beat faster, breathing strained slightly.
"She'll have to come to save you..... She will be all mine.."
Zeke knew Newt was scared.
"I can feel your fear Newt."
He said, arm tightening around Newt's chest.
"It's what I want... I'll still kill you even if she comes."

Nikki........
Charlie......
Aly...
Nikki..... Help me please....... Aly.. Stay inside... He wants you. He'll have to get through me to you.

Alyson quickley hurried downstairs.
"Go into Newt's bedroom! Stay safe." Alyson instructed Amy.
Amy hurried into Newt's bedroom, obiedeniently. Alyson walked down the stairs, levitating the penknife on the floor.
"Drop Newt." Alyson instructed.
"Only if you come to me, sweetie." Zeke smiled.
"Drop Newt." Alyson repeated.
Zeke dropped Newt from a height, Alyson managing to levitate him safely, just about. Zeke stepped forwards, his new victim becoming Alyson. Like a snake from the grass.
Alyson stepped back, and squinted her eyes shut, backing up agaisnt the wall.
"Newt!" Aly shouted.
"Aly!" Newt struggled.

Newt whiped the blood from his neck, yet only a small cut but it still hurt.
Newt gasped.
"Aly!"
He said, backing away slightly.
"Newt. Piss off... No one wants you.."
Newt narrowed his eyes.
"That's where you're wrong. Nikki wants me.. Charlie wants me. My mum and dad want me. Amy wants me.... Chloe wants me.... Aly wants me.. And you have to kill people to get friends....."
He anrrowed his eyes.
Zeke put his hand on Aly's neck, strangling her.
"You're nextNewt. And your sister! AND YOUR MUM AND DAD THEN NIKKI THEN CHARLIE!"
Aly was being strangled. Newt widened his eyes and quickly reacted, running forwards fast. He picked up the penknife and plunged it into Zeke's leg, letting go.
Zeke howled out in pain, letting Aly drop. Newt went over to Aly, sitting beside her, calming her, stroking her hair while he watched Zeke out the corner of his eye.
Zeke was stumbling into the darkness.

There was no more... It was silent..

Alyson froze.
"We have to save Charlie!" Alyson instantly said, getting on her shoes and her bag, and running to where Nikki was.
"Woah, Nikki. I never knew you where so pretty!" Alyson smiled.
She looked at Charlie.
"Arn't you a cute little boy!" She cooed.
"I'm fourteen." Charlie said sternly, but not as stern. (he's in lurrrrrve with Alyson. rofl)
Alyson sat down, next to Charlie. She flipped out her phone, and added Charlie to speed dial. (Might be handy).
Soon, Newt came to the door. In less that 5 seconds, Alyson jumped to her feet and sat down in between Newt and Charlie.

Charlie narrowed his eyes at newt, they had a secret conference behind Aly's back, Nikki closely watching.
"So you ran off with her huh?"
He hissed.
newt shrugged.
"She saved me.. I was gonna treat her. What else was I supposed to do. You were asleep then some maniac, named Zeke! Comes and tries to kill us."
Charlie sighed.
"Still.."
He slowly hissed.

Nikki smiled, then went serious, "Thanks, you too." She then eyed at newt, mouthing with a dark expression, "I'm on it." She slid past them out the door and sped off to Zeke's location.
When she got there, she had her hair up in a spiked bun, dark emerald eyes searching the house before stepping in.
She suddenly stopped, looking strait ahead. Her voice seamed of velvet, and threatening as she spoke. "I thought I told you to leave them alone." She began to growl, eyes darting about the room, not having to though due to her sensing Zeke's presence in a corner, getting ready sit up.
She put her hands in fists and shut the door behind her, ready for battle.

Alyson sighed, waving her legs while on the couch.
"I know your secret, Charlie and Newt." She gestured them to come into a corner. She sat on the edge of the stairs.
"Your the snowsuit guys. Don't fool me, trust me." Alyson smiled.
"Minutemen!" Newt corrected. Charlie looked at Newt.
"Does it matter?"
"Yeah!" Newt smiled.
"I brought mr.Catstein." Charlie smiled.
"Aww! A cat, how sweet." Alyson cooed, stroking the cat as it purred softly.

Newt sighed, rolling his eyes.
"We only timetravelled once.. And Zeke's now tried to kill us so.... It's fallen."
He smiled. Charlie barged in.
"And no girls are aloud... Hence.. Minute MEN."
He smirked, Newt and Charlie putting their heads together, batting their eyelashes.

Meanwhile...

Zeke narrowed his eyes.
"Look.. I was playing around..... But in a teenager way. Sticking Newt's head in the road, holding a penknife to his throat and threatening to kill him and Aly was all a big joke. It was some fun. I did NOTHING TO charlie."
Zeke stood opposite her, a distance back in the room, fists clenched, ready for anything she threw at him.

Nikki growled louder, "Yeah, now I'm going to, 'play around,' with your heart after I tear you to pieces. Plus," Her iris covered her eyes fully, engulfing the pupils as well, "You were going to anyway."
She started stalking around the room, slowly starting to close in on Zeke, using her fox instincts before jumping in to attack.

Aly trembeled, inside the cold house.
"I should've brought a cardigan." Aly mumbled.
"You can borrow my jumper, if you want." Charlie offered. Alyson smiled, thanking Charlie greatfully and wrapping the jumper around herself.
"For a 14 year old, your sweet." Alyson admitted.




Where's Nikki? Alyson thought.


(Lmfao, when I thought, "wheres Nikki?" It reminded me off of Phineas and Ferb; "Where's Perry?")

Newt's eyes widened.
"But surely.. I'm cuter....."
He said quickly, smirking, easily jelous.
Charlie rolled his eyes.
"Face it."
He said loudly.
"She likes me!"
He put a hand proudly on his chest.
"You have no heart."
Newt hissed, laughing at Aly and grinning.

Meanwhile.

"....Do whatever you want.. I did NOTHING."
He put a hand on his chest still, a bit worried.
But when she got ready.He dived at her, attempting to scratch her in a violent way, teeth bared. Almost bear-like.

Nikki swirled around grabbing Zeke's wrists and twisting them, then kicking him in the bullsey. She tightened her grip, vampiric fangs forming on her teeth, eyes wide. She couldn't decide wither to bite him, or just kill him.
Very dangerous choice. She thaught to herself.
If she bit him, then she may be addicted to blood, and attack her friends.
If she didn't bite him, then she would die of her being weak possibly, though she may still be crazed by the blood that she soon would bring from Zeke.

Alyson giggled. Usually, boys didn't fight over her. These were especially cute ones.
Her golden hair blew in the cool, freezing house. She wrapped around Charlies jumper, hugging Charlie and thanking him once more. She sat on the edge of the stairs, cuddiling Mr. Catstein.

Zeke squeaked and almost fell, his wrists hurting.
"YOu know what I say? -insterword- YOU!"
He didn't bother to fight.

Meanwhile.
Newt suddenly launched himself at Charlie, they were soon rolling around on the floor.
Newt was on Charlie.. But suddenly, Charlie began to kiss Newt.
He was obviously trying to make Newt seem 'gay'.
newt pulled away.
"HEY!"
he yelled.
"UNFAIR!"
He demanded.

Nikki lowered her eyelids, "Of course you wouldn't. You already know how easily I can kill you, from what happened when we first met." She had a heavy heart and shook her head, "You're just another on my back. Always wanting to pull me down." Her eyes glowed in fury, "EVEN THOUGH I'M ALREADY ON THE GROUND!" She yelled.
"You shouldn't have stalked me, Zeke. You should have thaught before you tried to hurt Newt.. Before you tried to hurt Charlie. Before you tried to take Alyson!" She crouched down and pinned Zeke to the ground, eyes full of fury, yet not glowing anymore. Full of pain and anger. Showing her fangs as well, "Yeah, I'm a vampire now, too. And I haven't drank a drop of blood yet. Also, maybe this might be the first time I would." She had her knees on Zeke's stomache, though didn't do much due to her lightweight. She snapped her teeth at Zeke's neck, yet not biting it. She thing lifted her head to look at Zeke, expression still on her face.

Zeke's teeth were still bared, then frightening moment only slightly making him worried for his safety.
"Who cares? I have a deathwish! Kill me! You won't kill me when I'm willing. You're too scared!"
He mocked her, smiling in a tormenting way.
"I don't care about Newt's life, Charlie's or even Aly's. I'd kill them if I had the chance again."
He went on.
"And you..... You're on the top of my list with Newt!"
He narrowed his eyes.
"You know NOTHING!"
He said, spitting her in the face.

Meanwhile.

newt got off Charlie, sitting back on the sofa, CHarlie too. They were both blushing.
"We're both bisexual."
newt began, not able to meet Aly's eyes.

Nikki growled lowder, "You won't get that chance!" She bit directly into Zeke's neck, vampire fangs sinking deep into his neck.
"Scared. . . . My . . . Ass!" She said as she drank uncontrollably the blood from Zeke. Her eyes turned fully silver as she lifted Zeke up fron underneath him and continued.
