Book 2, Friend or Foe, How Should We Know?

Sekura breathed deeply, not daring to turn her head away from Munt's chest. Shock and surprise ran through her body, causing her to tremble. She was terrified.
"Sek . .. Seriously? What the hell happened.?"
Sekura held her breath, trying to stop the sobs. Then looked up at Munt as he cradled her in his arms. "There . . ." She shook her head, "It's hard to expla--"
She turned her eyes over to the trashcan.
"I smell blood." She whispered.
Munt looked over. "Sense it."
" . .. Pete." She whispered to Munt.
Munt put her to lean on the tree, and walked over, picking up a piece of trash on the way. He purse his lips together as he focused on the trashcan, sighing as he got closer to it, making sure the trash was visable.
When he threw it out, he pretended to miss when he tossed it, and walked behind to retrieve it.
"Pete?" he whispered, expression conserned as he saw blood.

Sekura looked distant as she clung to herself, resting her chin on her knees as she looked ahead of her, horror still clinging to her expression.
She had seen the face of a man . . . A white ghostlike face, furious as it looked dead at her. He had screamed at her, though it didn't seem anyone heard it but her . . .
Sekura shuddered, Then swallowed hard as she turned and looked at Fred.
"Fred!" She called, expression urgent. "Come here!"

Fred looked at the sky.. Blue.. A few seagulls.
This was the first time..
EVER..
Even his first killing out of 23 didn't give him this feeling.
Guilt....
Fred bit at his bottom lip, looking back at Pinka and the others, though, not quite able to meet their eyes.
He tried to hide the wild look in his eyes, his palms sweaty.
At the call of his name, he was glad to get away from this staring contest.
Fred almost ran at Sekura, but he stopped in front of her, staring down at her as she sat on the bench, he tilted his head to one side, black curls falling into his blackish-brown eyes.
He blinked once.
"Yes?"
He clenched his hands, rubbing the cold sweat out.
