Book 5, Forget Myself

newt shivered, looking slightly blue.
He smiled as she gave his hand a squeeze.
"I'll kill him when I have a chance."
He managed to say, teeth chattering.
He loved the warm feeling after being cold.
And in a deeply heated place too.
His lips were starting to go normal colour.
His face flushing back slowly.

Alyson smiled.
"Thanks for saving me." Alyson smiled, staring into Newt's eyes. "..AGAIN." Alyson added, laughing.
"You know, Newt, your a really great friend." Alyson said, hugging him.

Newt shook his head, clinging to the blanket.
"S'ok....He was my old school friend..... But he didn't save me when... Something happened."
He shivered at the thought.
"Imagine getting a wedgie and then being kicke din the nuts, if you had some, then being hung up on the headmaster's cloatrack by your underwear."
He smirked, yet shivering inside.
"I wouldn't leave you. I'd ratehr risk my life to save you!"
He hugged her back.
"It's what close friends are for."

"Aww." Alyson said, smiling at Newt, putting her arm around him. She suddenly Jolted back into a hug, clinging to Newt as soon as she heard Jake from upstairs.
"NEWT! Aly baby, please come back." Jake sneered. "NEWT. I'LL SMASH YOUR FACE IN." He added.

Newt pressed against her, seeming as she had him in a vice grip.
The only sound he could hear was the footsteps and his breathing mixed with hers.
"Don't worry. I'll smash his first."newt whispered, but almost in a worried way.
Newt's heartbeat was the only sound he could now hear as he pressed against her.
He was also sure he could feel hers, but that might've been in the spur of the moment.
"We have to stay down here."
He whispered, feeling sick, his heart beating faster.
"

Alysons heart was thumping loud, she still clung onto Newt.

Newt hugged her tightly to him, in a worse state than she was.
He thought his heart was gonna burst from his chest.
But his worse fears were confirmed, as the door to the cellar fell down with a bang.
I could really wish Nikki was here. But I guess I have to do the ass-wooping.
His breath was caught in his throat. The sight of Jake angry mad ehim sick. Especially that he was his best friend before. And Jake would never hurt him.
Newt did a brave thing and stood opposite him.
"So you're gonna fight like a man? First test done."
He sneered.
"I'll smash your face in, tear your heart out and eat it myself."
Newt's eyes widened, he gulped, not as big built as Jake was. Neither as tall.
He looked tiny and skinny compared to jake.
Jake walked up to Newt, stripping himself of his shirt, showing his six-pack.
"Mano el mano. Right here. Get that skinny chest out."
Newt shrank back.
"Uhm. Is this nesessary?"
This was more of a big playfight than an actual one.
"Yes....... It shows we are men."
He said, narrowing his eyes.
newt rolled his eyes and pulled his shirt off.
"If it gets you to leave."
He mumbled to himself.
there was booming laughter from Jake.
"You're a tiny shrimp. Have you EVER worked out??!!"
Newt looked down at himself.
He shrugged.
"I prefer to have a brain."
He said.
Suddenly Jake roared and charged at him like a raging bull.
Newt pushed Aly out of the way before he was struck to the wall where she once sat.
He struggled, Jake's hands on his bare shoulders, crushing them.
Newt made a final resort to kick him in the nuts.
Jake fell backwards, Newt kicked him and punched him in the face.
"Piss..."
He started.
"O--"
Newt never got to finish it as Jake's hands darted forward and he began to strangle Newt.
Newt made gaspy noises.
"We'll be together."
He said to Aly, smiling as Newt struggled, held up, feet not touching the floor.
He tried to tear at the hand.
But the grip tightened, he felt himself blacking out.
"A....LLY......"
He hissed almost, struggling.

Alsyon slowly got up, golden hair in her eyes.
"I'm afraid not, sweetie." Alyson said, getting up. Alyson attempted to high-kick Jake. The result: Aly being held by her feet, being tipped upside-down.
"I'll drop Alyson." Jake threatened.

Newt was dropped to the floor, his back raw red as it was down the brick.
The lack of air he had just had made him dizzy, it made his heart beat in an odd way.
He was going to pass out.
But he pushed himself up.
"Take her."
He surprisingly said in a breathless voice, the pain of his back and his neck making it unbearable.
He ran at him, Jake letting go of Aly.
But surprisingly Newt grabbed hold of Aly and took her some how in a cradleing way.
He put her down but he was stumbling about.
He fell to the floor, eyes half open as he passed out, his heart beating still in the strange way.

Jake laughed, kicking Newt repeatedly. Newt was so weak and unconcious, his breathing loud and troubled.

"Now you can be mine!"
He said in a cry, running at Aly, attempting to sweep her up in his arms.

Aly rolled over, Jake crashing into a wall. Aly picked up the unconcious Newt, and ran him to his house. Somehow Jake didnot know where Newt's house was.
Amy stared at Aly and Newt. Aly put Newt on the sofa, wrapped him up with blankets and kissed his foreheard.

Newt didn't awake until three hours had passed.
And only then he said bolt upright, smiling and almost his usual self.
He took his T-shirt and put it on.
"I hate Jake."
He said in a happy voice.
"I hate it how people are out there to get us.... Especially you. I've had to put my life through many dangers these past days."
He panted at the end as if it were a long sentance.
"When I could hear your heart beat fast I knew it was trouble! I am not reassured by that.... I have escaped death about...." He said nothing else, pondering his thoughts with the blanket still over him, but he folded his arms over his chest, eyes rolled upwards to the ceiling.
"Hmm... Five times? Or Six...."
He yawned, looking at Aly.
He felt slightly dizzy still, no wonder his idea turned out to be wierd.
"We have to set a trap! Like the mystery scooby doo gang do!!!! We trap Jake and then.... And then...."
Newt gave up and turned on his side.

Nikki blinked and paused, turning off the faucit. She put her hands on the rim of the sink and sighed, head bowed downward. She felt terrable. She shook her head fastly and turned to Charlie, "Don't worry about it." She said in an unusually raspy voice. Her eyes seemed extremely tired, she felt slightly sufficated.
She then looked at the knife and bowed her head lower, breathing heavily.
Then, her head pounded.
She collasped on the floor, leaning her head on the side of the cabinet, shivering as she looked darkly on the kitchen-tile floor, lids lowered until she closed her eyes.
Nikki was still present, she wasn't out. She felt like she was somewhere else, though didn't move.
She suddenly jolted, and it was gone. She immediately opened her eyes, seeming slightly freightened, her head aching badly.
"Ugh . . ." she whined, pressing her wrist to her forehead until the aching subsided and got up.

Charlie suddenly dropped the knife as she did this.
His eyes widened.
Charlie ran for it, disapearing from his house in a matter of a few milliseconds.
He didn't know where the hell he was going to go, but Charlie wanted to be with Aly and Newt.
He had left his mobile back at home with the...Thing....
Charlie wasn't going to return there anytime soon.
He crossed several roads, sweating badly, not pausing to stop even though he was panting.
Charlie kept looking over his shoulder in case she was following him.
Charlie finally collapsed into an alleyway, breathing heavily, keeping flat against the wall....
Where was he?

He seemed to've run out of town. This place wasn't so busy.. It seemed slightly deserted.

*WARNING: THIS IS A CRAP COMEBACK FOR CHLOE BUT I CANT THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE X-X-X-X-X-X-X*

The floor was made of hard golden mud, and was quite dusty and sandy. Charlie followed out the alleyway onto the other side. Old houses looked like huts, looked like they were abandoned.

But away in the distance was something big, stone. It was too far away for Charlie to work out, so he ran to it.

As the big thing came to view it looked like.

A castle? In this place? Surely not.

It seemed like no one was in so Charlie, slowly scanning the place, stepped up the steps and into the abandoned castle.

And there he found out it wasnt abandoned.

There were tribe people (OK LAUGH LOL) dancing in a circle around a pot, and someone was dangling over it screaming.

There were about 20 tribe people dancing round the pot. And the person dangling was screaming, but everytime she did, the tribals laughed. The girls hair was covering her face. She flicked it out of the way an-


CHLOE!?!?!!?

Charlie stepped back, by accident hitting a bell of some kind.
It rang loud and clear.
The tribes people looked up at him, speaking in an odd language even Charlie didn't know. And he thought he knew ALL languages.
Charlie suddenly bolted for it, three of them chasing him.
"Where the hell AM I!?!!!!!"
He yelled as he ran.
Charlie looked behind.
"I think I'm shaking the--"
Too late, he had slammed straight into a wall.
Charlie fell backwards, unconcious.. Everything went black for a while..

"So... That is why I'm over a pot?"
He said, looking at Chloe who was beside him.
"Pretty much."
She said.
Charlie sighed.

Nikki blinked and shook her head, looking at the floor, she picked up the knife and slid it into her belt, making sure it didn't hurt her as she sped off.
She looked downward, using vampiric senses to follow a trail sent Charlie had left behind. She kept her head low as she sped, way faster than a car or anything like it.
In that vision, she had heard screams, boiling, people dancing, fire. Though nothing else.
She turned past the alleyway, seeing a glowing in the distance.
She sped around the dancing people, faster than they could see. Soon, she would be going so fast, they would start to suffocate, unknowing the reason. She continued until the tribe people fell unconcious due to lack of oxygen, then take Chloe and Charlie and set them on the ground next to her, her face seemed emotionless, hair down in long waves, a small strand over her right eye.

Charlie stared at the floor, not at Nikki or Chloe.
"Thanks.."
Was all he said in a monotonius voice.
He sighed and shuffled slightly, not even looking around himself.
"I'm going to see where Newt and Aly are."
He began to walk off, leaving them confused.

Meanwhile.

Newt had shown Aly out and he told her specifically to keep indoors in her house, lock all windows and doors and keep with her parents.
Not so easy for him to say when his parents had just gone off out for a buisness trip for a month.
Newt was now left with the task of handling Amy and keeping himself safe.
"Look, I'm going to go and get dressed, go to your room."
He said.
But amy whined.
"Why can't I watch TV on the big screen?"
She whined in a shrill way.
Newt rolled his eyes.
"Do you want a guy to kill you?"
He asked.
Amy shook her head, beginning to cry in the noisiest of ways while running upstairs.
Newt shrugged and followed up, entering the bathroom for a shower and hairwash.

After that he went into his room and got changed into this:

Suddenly he heard a knock at his door.
Newt jumped down the stairs, but checked through the window first.
He saw Charlie and Nikki.
Newt slowly opened it.
"Are you really Charlie Tuttle.. And Nikki?"
Charlie rolled his eyes and pushed in.
"Why are you being so secretive?"
Newt seemed a lot taller in this outfit, hood covering his eyes as if he were trying to be someone else.
"Because, yet again, another wierdo is out to get me."

Nikki lowered her eyes, "May I come in?" She blinked once and looked at Newt, giving a knowing look. Wavy brown hair slightly draping over her shoulders, aware of the darkness behind her.

Newt nodded.
"Ok.."
He said in a tense, dark voice.
Newt looked tense himself, posture straightened so he looked taller, the colour drained from his face.
He looked emotionless, eyes narrowed as he looked at them, as if they were in Charlie and Nikki suits.
Newt lay down on the sofa. (The same way the pic is)
He stared at them.
"Close the door ok!"
He said in a panicky voice.
Charlie did so.
"I can't take risks."
Newt said slowly.
"This was my old friend ok? He'll do worse things than Zeke did."
He looked around quickly, as if Zeke was there.
newt had recieved the look she had given him and he lightly nodded, Charlie didn't see as he was so engrossed on a bookshelf.
Newt kept the position on the sofa, staring at the ceiling.

Nikki felt uneasy herself, streaks of silver comming from her pupil accross her iris as she looked disoriented herself. She sat down on a chair next to Newt.
Her eyes widened in a cautious way and looked at Newt, looking downward slightly. She hadn't talked since she asked to come in. She breathed heavily and slow, though that was normal for her lately. She was a bit relaxed, and a bit uneasy. Unable to know which.

Newt narrowed his eyes.
"You look wierd."
He said, looking at his eyes.
Newt's own eyes widened...
Her eyes were...Silver....
different than normal.

Different than Nikki...
He gasped slightly.
It was an impostor!
He jumped up as quick as a flash and had dived onto her, hopefully wrestling her to the ground, on top of her, his hands in hers. (In a fighting way xD)
He put his face close to hers.
"Who are you?"
He said in a vicious way.
"Is it you Jake?!!"
He hissed, grip tightening on her palms.

Nikki didn't fight back, her eyes were wide as she layed pinned on the floor, full of caution. She blinked once, the silver dissapearing out of her eyes.
She looked to her left as she layed on the floor, obviously not struggling to get free. "I'm me, Newt. I'm just . . " She sighed, looking at Newt, they're silver because of . . . . Me biting Zeke. She said regretfully in Newt's mind.
"I'm not Jake." She blinked once as Newt tightened his grip.

Newt laughed in a mocking way.
"You expect me to believe that??"
He narrowed his eyes, his cold breath on her face.
Charlie was trying to pry Newt off as safe as possible without him jerking up.
"Come on Newt, it is Nikki!"
Newt ignored him.
"How do you know, you never saw HIM get into the costume did you??"
Newt's grip tightened more, baring his teeth.
"I'll call the police...... You'll be in jail where no one can hurt you......"
He put his fist close to her face.
