Book 8: Music is the Victim

Ron walked over to Newt and gave him a hand.
Newt took it and got lifted up.
"Thanks."
He mumbled, sniffing.
"I'm sure you DON'T need a hug!"
He smirked.
"No..... I'm ok, thanks!"
Newt said, smiling.
"Well... What shall we do?"
He asked Nikki.

Nikki kept the hug for a little longer, then pulled a strand of hair behind her ear. "Well, geanology." She looked at Ron, "Though we have to get to Hermione." She looked at Harry, "Harry! Come here!." She got out a pencil and paper.

Harry heard her and was out in a second.
He nodded.
"Hermione's address, let me guess?"
He took the pencil and bit of paper and used Newt's back as a rest.
"Newcastle. By Hogwarts. Number 10. Cottage, Flowers."
He gave it to her.

Nikki nodded. Then put the paper in her bookbag, "Thanks. You sure you don't wanna come, Harry?" To her Harry seemed lonely.

Harry smiled and shook his head.
"I'm fine.... I have my own company."
He said, grinning.
"You really should be on your way. It's two day's travelling from here."
Ron nodded.
"I'll go."
He said in an eager way.
Newt smiled.
"Someone has a crush on Hermiooooone."
Ron punched him on the arm.

Nikki sighed, then hugged Harry, "Alright. Thanks."
She then turned and nodded to Ron, then laughed at Newt punched him. She slipped the backpack on her shoulders, then paused, her face falling. "Um . . . Newt?" She looked at him, "Do you want to call Charlie?" Her eyes seemed conserned as she took out her sell phone, a -of course- green flip phone with a camera.

Newt looked up.
"No... He'll be fine."
He said, grinning.
Newt looked at Ron.
Ron looked at Newt.
harry looked at Nikki.
Ron looked at Harry and slapped him around the face.
"HEY!"
Harry yelled.
Ron hissed.
"YOu know."
Harry nodded.
"Ok. I'll go in. See you guys!"
He said, running into his house, shutting the door.
Ron smiled and cleared his throat.
"The only way is forward!"
He declared.

Nikki tilted her head to the side, pretending that Harry wasn't staring at her. She put the cell phone back in her back pocket, and the backpack back on her back.
"Bye Harry! Thanks again!" She yelled at Harry ran in, then blinked. "Yep." She looked at her convertable. "This isn't going to fit us all unless I hide in the trunk . . . ." She shrugged, "There's a car store nearby. I'm not really used to the cars, but I guess it'll have to do. C'mon." She took all of the stuff out of her convertable, locked it, then knocked on Harry's door. "Hey, mind if you watch my car? You can drive around it if you want, I just don't want it stolen."

Newt and Ron blinked.
"Hiding in trunk?"
They said together.
Newt shrugged.
"She's always been wierd."
Ron widened his eyes.
"When I was around she was sweet-natured and junk."

Harry nodded.
"Sure!"
He said, smiling, accepting the car keys from her.
Ron launched himself at Harry.
"See you."
Harry smirked an nodded.
"See you."
He said back.
Ron stepped back and Harry closed the door.
"Now we go see Hermione."
Ron said in a manly way, sticking his chest out in a 'manly' way.
Newt smirked.

Nikki whipped around, "The car only has two car seats. I'm not weird." She smiled at Harry and hugged him, "Thanks. I'll stop by when I need the car back, though I might not." She turned around and walked to Newt and Ron, "I'm thinking of a big van with a TV in it." She raised an eyebrow at the two.

"I wouldn't mind hiding in the trunk. It could be pretty cool."
Ron said, shrugging.
"Yeah, but you'd get thrown about!"
Newt said, narrowing his eyes.
"Well. I don't really care. Cars are all news to me. I mean..... They have so many parts. Why not use the floo network?? Gets you there faster. The only time I went in one was in my second year and I got in a lotta trouble for that. I can tell you...But what the heck is a TeeeeeeeVeeeeeee??"
Newt spluttered slightly.
"It's a box. That you watch. With people inside it."
He said.
Ron blinked, gasping.
"Ohhhh. My dad used to want to know how to get the person out of them in case they were starving hungry. He thought the glass was soundproof and a one way glass so they couldn't see or hear him. That AND how planes stay up."
Ron shrugged.
"May I go in the trunk if you can't get a Vaaaaaaaaaan?Or a car?"
He asked, looking at Nikki.

Nikki started walking to the end of the ally with the two, "You don't need to go in the trunk." She raised an eyebrow. "Though Ron, you know the way. You may need to drive by day . . . ." She bit her lip and looked down, "I, uh, don't think I can be awake during the day anymore . . . . " She ran her tongue over her teeth where when vampire, the fangs would be.

Ron almost froze as she asked him to take over the drive by day.
"Oh......Well.. Ok... IF I remember my second year stuff."
He shrugged, flipping his hair from his blue eyes.
Newt shivered as he knew why Nikki was not able to drive in the daytime.. He wondered if Ron knew. As they had been good friends when they were younger. Or was it something that had happened later in the time after his death?
"I'll help with directions. I know England like the back of my hand."
Newt pushed his hands in his pockets.
"Well everyone knows the back of their hand. Or they'd be just stupid."
Ron said clearly, not understanding the saying.
Newt just rolled his eyes and walked on ahead next to Nikki.
Ron stayed behind them and idily walked, day dreaming with his eyes shining slightly.
They didn't check back once to see the body of Newt's father.

Nikki showed mom the paper and map as they came into the auto shop.



"How about this one?" She blinked as she turned to show it to the two, slightly forgetting about the dead body.

Newt shrugged.
"As long as it gets us there and back."
He said in a sigh.
Ron rolled his eyes, folding his arms.
"You expected a proper pimp ride didn't you? Well driving a Ford Anglia at the age of twelve is no Pimp ride."
He said in a sour voice.
NEwt sighed again.
"Ok. How do we pay for it?"
He asked.
Ron took him by the shoulders.
"Wiiiiiith....Moooooooooooooney."
He said slowly as if Newt didn't understand.
Ron turned around to look at Nikki.
"Yeah.. How exactly DO we pay for the car?"
He asked.

Nikki formed into Sekura and got out an ID and Credit card, "With these." She showed the two, then walked in, and back with the car keys, a half-smile on her face.

Newt and Ron looked awe struck.
"Wicked."
Newt said.
Ron punched him on the arm.
"That's my saying. Thanks very much."
He said, narrowing his eyes as he stared at Newt.
"M...May I drive first?"
Ron asked.
"PWETTY PWEASE WITH A COULDRON CAKE!"
He said, pulling his almost innocent eyes on Nikki.
Newt interrupted it by cuffing him around the head playfully.
"I think Nikki should start and then you drive tomorow."
He said, yawning.
Ron rolled his eyes at Newt.
"Pay attention to a kid? No thanks!"
Newt coughed slightly.
"Yeah. And I'm just a kid, yet wiser than you!"
Ron began to take it serious.
"Oh shutup."

Nikki bit her lip, "It is almost daybreak." She looked worriedly at the east where the sun would rise. Slight colors appearing in the sky. "But before we go I have to get rid of Newt's dad's/ your son's body. She sighed and began slightly jogging back into the alley, the keys in her back pocket.
She got out a box and opened the lid, then picked up Newt's dad and folded him easily to fit in the box. Then got out a nail and hammer nearby to nail the lid back on.

Ron wasn't at all emotional about this.
"Bastard."
He muttered.
"Complete bastard."
He said, shaking his head.
Newt sniffed.
"Shutup Ron. You can go suck a--"
"Fuck off ok? It's hard for you? Think about your bloody son turning evil on you and murdering you. You get no sympathy."
He said in a cold voice.
Newt sighed and stared agead, coughing slightly, but bursting into tears.
Ron sighed and put an arm around him, hugging him.

Nikki's stomache slightly churned as she nailed the lid back on. Before she could, her eyes turned a dark goldish-black. She jumped back and shivered, looking down at the body that was slightly bleeding. She growled and looked away from the box, cold sweat forming on the top of her head. "Newt, Ron. One of you are going to have to finish nailing the box on and come with me to put the body away. The dude's bleeding." Vampiric fangs formed on her teeth, which she covered and looked at the pavement, her stomache churning more.
She quickly jumped up and sped behind the two, putting her hand to her forehead. Taking short, fast breaths.

Newt was sniffling.
Ron nodded.
"I'll do it."
He said quietly, not really wanting to as he was easily grossed out.
He let Newt go over to Nikki and look after her while he ook his hand out and pointed it at the box, standing from a distance.
He muttered some incantation harshly and the hammer floated in the air in a ghostly way, hammering in the nail until it was all done.
He put the wand back in his back pocket and stared at the crate after a while.
He shivered at the thought of the contents and backed away until he reached Nikki.
"Now what?"
He asked her.
"We can't leave it here."
He said, eyeingnewt, who was uncontrollably sobbing and fretting over Nikki.
"What's wrong Nikki?"
He asked quietly.

Nikki wasn't aware her vampire fangs were visable and that her mouth hung slightly open as she breathed. She swallowed heard, unsure what to say. She eyed the box a bit, then at the two. Her golden eyes seemed dark as she looked around, "I uh . . ." Her eyes darted around.
She looked at Newt, "Stop crying please." She breathed fastly.

Newt sniffed and whiped at his eyes.
"S..Sorry."
He said shakily.
Ron seemed to eye Nikki, narrowing his eyes.
Something did not seem right......
He thought.
But when Ron saw the fangs he almost fainted. A look of pure horror on his face, he whispered in her ear as he stood next to her,
"Maybe you'll want to hide those."
He hissed almost, folded his arms across his chest in an angered way.
He was miffed that she didn't tell him she was a vampire. Nor HOW she was one.
He thought he could help or something.
It seemed like Newt knew... That made Ron even angrier.

Nikki's eyebrows twitched for a bit. Her eyes widened and she immediately closed her mouth and closed her eyes, turning her head away, "Damn it." She mumbled under her breath. She sighed miserably. "Yeah Ron, I'm a goddamn vampire. I faught a man in the castle that ended up being a vampire, and I accidentally drank a bit of his blood, turning me into a vampire. I can't find him right now, which is a problem because killing him is the only way I can form back to human." She growled, golden tears forming in her eyes. "You should know I hate it." She looked at the box angerly, then gasped like an animal in fear. She ran to the box and lifted it up, dissapearing and entering into the room with no doors, windows, lights, or anything left. She threw the box next to Zeke's then appeared back and ran back to Newt and Ron, "It's almost daylight. We could get going."
